Update: According to Superintendent Erik Gundersen, Pascack Hills will reopen for in-person instruction Tuesday, Jan. 12, with a B1 schedule after an individual reported a positive Covid-19 test on Sunday. Gundersen said “the contact tracing investigation is now complete with regards to the case we informed the community about yesterday.” In-person co-curricular and athletic activities will resume Tuesday along with in-person learning.

An individual at Pascack Hills reported a positive Covid-19 test, Superintendent Erik Gundersen announced in a district-wide email. Hills will be fully remote on Monday, Jan. 11 with an A1 schedule, though Gundersen said fully remote learning could extend longer. All in-person co-curricular activities are canceled on Monday.

“An extensive contract tracing investigation is now underway and will continue throughout the day tomorrow.  Due to the specific circumstances of this case and based on the recommendation of local health officials, Pascack Hills High School will be fully remote for at least Monday, January 11,” read Gundersen’s email.

No students are allowed in the building at this time, though teachers are allowed to teach from their classrooms.

Recently, Pascack Valley closed for in-person instruction until Jan. 19 due to over 100 students who either tested positive for Covid-19 or were forced to quarantine due to exposure at social gatherings held over the New Year’s weekend.
