PHHS Volleyball Insider

Led by Coach Shawn McDonald and captains Eunice Pak, Emma DeLange, and Victoria Eichenlaub, the Pascack Hills Varsity Volleyball team is 7-9 as of this writing.

The team suffered a rough start with 6 consecutive losses, but came back and fought hard for their current record. The team, consisting of 3 seniors, 5 juniors, and 5 sophomores, is currently working towards one of the biggest games of the year: Dig Pink.

The PHHS Volleyball team works with TAC and the Side-Out Foundation to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. This year, the volleyball game will take place on October 22 at Pascack Valley. The money raised through t-shirt, game ticket, and raffle sales is contributed to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

When asked about the team’s strongest points, Coach McDonald answered, “I always feel like my players are always trying their best and working their hardest [however] their weaknesses are inexperience and a lack of confidence because we have a lot of the younger players.”
