Meet the Board candidate: David Steinberg
David Steinberg, a Board member since 2014, is running for reelection to his Woodcliff Lake seat. The other candidate running for the Woodcliff Lake seat is Kelly Blundy.
Steinberg has lived in Woodcliff Lake with his wife and two sons since 2003. Both of his sons are recent Hills graduates. In addition to being a Board member, Steinberg is also a part of the Woodcliff Lake Boys Basketball Association and has been a head coach for recreational basketball.
Steinberg has centered his campaign around continuing to provide a good learning environment and emphasizing his record on equity, the Board’s communication, and the Guidance Department. As a Board member, Steinberg has led initiatives to improve year-round guidance for students and videotape Board meetings.
Steinberg requested his interview not be published and provided the following statement:
As a current Board Member, I have supported and suggested many programs that have provided our students a safe, healthy and academically challenging environment. I want our students to be able to develop their critical thinking and collaboration skills while they pursue their individual interests in school and their careers. I know that graduates of the PVRHSD will compete in an ethical and responsible manner and make our District very proud. I want this for each and every student in our District. I hope to have the opportunity to continue to serve our community by working with the Superintendent and Board Members in a transparent and fiscally responsible manner that provides the excellent staff and tools needed to educate our students. Stay safe, social distance and let’s do our best to remain open. Hills Pride!David Steinberg, Board member
