40 Shades of Fenty
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna was released September 8th at Sephora stores nationwide. This release has women all over the world raving for more, since it is one of the few lines out there that is made for women of all skin types and colors. Her line includes products from foundation, primer, highlighter, concealer, lip sticks to brushes and tools and much more. Rihanna states on her makeup line’s website, “Fenty Beauty was created for everyone: for women of all shades, personalities, attitudes, culture, and races. I wanted everyone to feel included. That’s the real reason I made this line.”
The twenty-nine-year-old singer was not producing a makeup line for her name to be more well known, but to highlight one of the most important key roles that makeup is about: making men and women feel empowered in their own skin.
Along with creating a line for all skin tones, she understands why makeup is worn and how it is nothing to be ashamed of, as she says on her website, “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
On top of creamy concealers and sparkling highlights for darker skin colors, Fenty Beauty spreads much farther than that. Krystal Robertson, a women with albinism, told TODAY Style, about her condition and how she had to deal with it growing up as a child and how much it changed with Rihanna’s foundation as she explains in an Instagram photo with the caption “@FentyBeauty, I’m freaking out!!! #110 #PerfectMatch”
Women wearing makeup want to feel comfortable and the makeup line does just that.
@quintabrunson tweeted, “Wearing @FentyBeauty by @Rihanna today. I don’t normally wear a full face, but this is amazing and natural.”
Rihanna’s makeup line played a big part in social media and sparked a conversation about what her line means and how important the discussion about it is. #FentyFace was trending all over the world and women began to tweet and post photos of themselves along with the hashtag showing their confidence.
Rihanna’s makeup line, released at Sephora stores on September 8th, can also be bought online. If you do buy anything from Fenty Beauty, tweet out a review and join the trend. #FentyFace
