The new Netflix show Outer Banks is ranked highly among most viewers, and even though the show isn’t confirmed for a second season, writers are preparing a script due to the show’s clear success.

16-year-old “John B” and his friends adventure all throughout the Outer Banks on a hunt for the Royal Merchant to find a long-lost treasure that his father had originally set out to find.  Throughout the search, the events leading up to his father’s disappearance months prior to the show’s setting are uncovered and the season ends on a cliffhanger, leaving all fans speculating what is to come for the characters.

Hills is home to several fans of the show that are left with their hopes of what is to come for the Pogues in the future until the next season premiere.

“I want to see John B ruled as innocent.  I want Rafe and Ward to go to prison and I want to see the Pogues reunite because I really liked the show when it was based upon the four friends hanging out so I would really like to see them together again soon,” says sophomore Kailani Perez.

“I think it would also be a cool idea to include more history about some of the characters’ past lives, for example, Rafe.  I want to know how Rafe got on to drugs and why, was it because of his feelings towards his father or something else?” says Perez.

Additionally, “I want to see more about JJ’s past.  I want to know who his mother is and see more about how he grew up.  I think after seeing his father abusing drugs and now that his best friend is presumed dead, I think it will be interesting to see how JJ deals with the loss… and if he goes down that road as a way of coping,” says sophomore Dream Maywether.

“I really want to see JJ and Kiara get together,” says sophomore Amy Ataalla.  “I think that through the season, Kiara would keep JJ in control and she would help him.  I think it is love that JJ could benefit from and that it would really help his character.”

To contrast, “I would much rather see John B and Kiara together.  I think John B and Kiara had chemistry at the beginning of the show and I have an appreciation for the relationship the show originally hinted at,” says Maywether.

Even though the second season has not been confirmed.  The show ratings hint at a strong probability that the show will create a second season, especially since the writers are creating a second script already in case of that.  Reviewers speculate that the show will maintain enough success for up to four seasons and Hills fans will continue to wait for any news on further release dates.
