[Editor’s note: This story has been updated with a letter from Dr. Sarah Bilotti and a statement from the Board of Education.]
On March 24, Dr. Sarah Bilotti was announced as the new superintendent of Eastern Camden County Regional School District via a press release on the district’s website; there has been no announcement on behalf of the Pascack Valley Regional High School District (PVRHSD). Her tenure as superintendent of this new district will commence after she finishes out the rest of the school year at PVRHSD.

The Eastern Camden County Regional High School District is a public school district for ninth through twelfth grade students from Berlin Borough, Gibbsboro, and Voorhees Township in New Jersey. There is one school for all students in the district with an enrollment of approximately 1,900 students.
Bilotti has served as the Pascack Valley Regional High School District superintendent since 2022, helping the district overcome post-COVID education and administration. Her experience and hard work have empowered the district and Board of Education to strive for well-rounded excellence.
The Trailblazer reached out to Bilotti for a comment but has not heard back.
UPDATE
On Friday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m., an email was sent to the parents of Pascack Hills and Pascack Valley students addressing Bilotti’s resignation.

Bilotti emphasized that her acceptance of this new job as Superintendent at another district was “to be closer to [her] family” in South Jersey. She expressed pride in the staff, faculty, and student achievements while she served as superintendent. Then, Bilotti assured that the transition between superintendents will be “smooth,” “seamless,” and district goals will be upheld despite being in a time of transition. _______________________________________________________________________________
On Monday, April 7, the Board of Education (BOE) officially announced and accepted, in the Meeting Agenda, the resignation of Dr. Sarah Bilotti as Superintendent of Schools, which will be effective June 30, 2025.There was no discussion during the live meeting apart from board member Michael Weaver’s brief statement on whether or not to approve District Supervisor of Mathematics & Computer Science Mark Russo as the new Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment during the superintendent transition. However, the BOE ultimately approved the change of position, effective July 1, 2025.
“As a board member, I am going to abstain for one reason: 1A [the consent agenda item that announced Bilotti’s resignation]. Because the superintendent is resigning, we are in a period of transition. Given that’s the third most important position in the district, after business administrator [who is also resigning this year]. In my opinion, that hiring should be done by our next superintendent…I needed to make sure that was said because I think we are in a time of transition. It feels like we have been in a time of transition for the last six to seven years now, and I think it is time where we need to take a step back…The next most important job is us identifying the next leader for this district,” he said.
