Ryan Gosling stole the show at the 96th Academy Award Oscars with his performance. Gosling sang and performed “I’m Just Ken” from the 2023 movie, “Barbie.”
The Oscars are an award ceremony for artists, actors, and people from the technical area of filmmaking. This is an extremely nerve-racking room to perform in, considering it has all of the superstars of the film industry. Despite this, Gosling still put on an amazing show.
While Gosling may not have won Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars, he did win over the room with his amazing performance.
Gosling said that it was such a fun process and experience. His daughters joined him at the dress rehearsal the day before, giving him pointers for his show.
“They gave me some tips and some notes, all great notes,” said Gosling.
Guitarists, Slash of Guns N’ Roses, and Wolfgang Van Halen joined Gosling to perform during “I’m Just Ken.” Believe it or not, Slash was at the Oscars because he was a part of the recording of this song. Gosling performed with these stars as well as 62 background Kens.
During his performance, Gosling led a singalong where the lyrics were displayed on a big screen for the whole room. He even included some other actors from “Barbie.” He returned to the crowd and sang with America Ferrera, Emma Stone, and director Greta Gerwig.
