On Friday, Sept. 13, Pascack Hills students came together to watch the Fall Pep Rally hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA). After just a few weeks into the school year, the student section erupted into cheers, showing pride as their peers took to the gym floor to compete in various activities.
The rally featured events like the toilet paper mummy wrap and speedball, culminating with Pascack Hills’ first-ever pie-eating contest. The highly anticipated event had participants from all grades alongside Vice Principal Derek Piccini and Health & Physical Education Teacher Tyler Johnson, who represented the staff. They all went “head-first” in the hopes of winning the $25 gift card prize.
After watching the competition, Hills freshman Ethan Karuru reflected, “It was so much fun. I thought it was a great way to get everyone hyped for the year ahead, and I can’t wait to hopefully see it again in the winter.”
The pep rally was an unforgettable and exciting way to kick off the school year. Take a look at the gallery below for photos from the pep rally!
