The 2015 Senior Class Fashion Show took place on Thursday, March 26 at the Pearl River Hilton. This event was a chance for all seniors to get involved, whether it was through modeling clothing or helping behind the scenes. Since this year was the 50th anniversary of Pascack Hills High School, the fashion show committee decided to “take you back 50 years to the ‘60s: to peace, love, flower power and all things groovy!” The theme was definitely evident in the fashion show decorations; peace signs, tie-dyed prints, and flowers adorned every wall and corner for as far as the eye could see.
The fashion show this year featured clothing from Biltmore Tuxedos, Ginger N’ Cream, Marcia’s Attic, Men’s Wearhouse, Party Girl, That Look, Threads, Shopettes, Society Femme, Society Men, South Moon Under, and Suite 201. Seniors modeled these clothes down the runway, sporting athletic, casual, and formal looks.
The girls who chose to model for the fashion show had the opportunity to get their hair and/or their makeup done by Mania Hair Studio. Everything was done in a very professional, efficient manner, which made for a smooth-sailing preparation process for the runway.
While the seniors were getting ready to rock the runway, family members, faculty, and volunteers had the opportunity to participate in raffles, which included some insane winnings, from food to concert tickets!
Mr. Ganz and Mr. Sandt emceed the fashion show, with Jason Rock as the DJ. Davey’s Locker, John’s Bagels, and Marc’s Pizza provided the backstage food, and many, many other family businesses were extremely generous in donating goods and services to the fashion show. A huge thank you goes out to the fashion show chairs, Mrs. Weinfeld, Mrs. Levine, and Mrs. Levy, for taking the time and effort to organize, prepare for, and execute this event, making it a fun time for everyone. Also, thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2015 Senior Class Fashion Show, making it a huge success. It was surely a night to remember.
