On Monday night, the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education recognized student achievements and approved athletic and co-curricular appointments.
Pascack Hills senior Hyunjun (Fred) Lim was recognized for attending the New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences this past summer. In the three-week residential program, Lim completed three core courses, one laboratory, and one group project, resulting in a co-authored research paper entitled “Exploring the Kinetics and Inhibition of Yeast Aldo-Ketoreductases.”
Students from Hills were also recognized for their Advanced Placement (AP) scores. The following were recognized as AP Scholars with Distinction, which are students who received an average score of 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of three or higher on at least five exams.

At the beginning of the meeting, BOE student representative Olivia Ge gave her monthly report. She discussed the Celebrate Languages ceremony, the Bergen County Choir, Trailblazer awards, the History Club Veterans Day panel, and athletic college commitments.
Before entering into an executive session to discuss HIB matters, the BOE discussed several agenda items.
While discussing finance, BOE member Michael Weaver asked about the Grandstand Soil Erosion Project at Hills. He questioned the condition of the stands and whether the track would be affected. Business Administrator Yas Usami said construction would “probably not happen for another year.”
While discussing old business, Weaver asked for an update regarding the girls wrestling team coach. Superintendent Sarah Bilotti responded by saying the position was advertised and a part-time coach was appointed for the three female wrestlers at Hills.
The BOE also approved the following athletic and co-curricular appointments:
