Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the infamous rapper who created hits such as “I’ll Be Missing You” and “Mo Money Mo Problems,” is now facing many allegations and charges. This includes rape, murder, sex trafficking, sexual assault, abuse, and more.
The trial for Combs is set to be on May 5, 2025. Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo says the defense case will take one week. The prosecution claims that Combs created a “criminal enterprise” throughout his career that included sex trafficking, kidnapping, and abuse.
You may be wondering why you’re hearing so much buzz about Diddy and what occurred at his infamous parties. This article will serve as some background information, as well as explain Combs’ offenses and what he has been accused of.
Combs has always been known for the big parties he would throw, and at one point, these parties were a star’s golden ticket to Hollywood. On the surface, these parties looked like a fun time; everyone dressed up and the festivities would last the whole night.
However, many disturbing things occurred at these parties. Combs’ victims would engage in uncontrolled, sometimes forced, drug use, and they were forced to participate in sexual acts.
Combs was arrested due to an unsealed federal indictment revealing all of his criminal activity such as sex trafficking and racketeering according to the indictment.
“For decades, SEAN COMBS, a/k/a ‘Puff Daddy,’ a/k/a ‘P. Diddy,’ a/k/a ‘Diddy,’ a/k/a ‘PD,’ a/k/a ‘Love,’ the defendant, abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” states the indictment.
His offenses have been piling against him. Some even date back to Nov. 2023; in which his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against Combs stating that he was manipulative and abusive.
More and more anonymous women came out to share their stories regarding Combs. In Dec. of 2023, another woman claimed she was “drug trafficked” and raped by Combs. Diddy then put out a statement denying all of these accusations, stating that he does not appreciate the awful things he’s being accused of.
However, as the year went on, more and more concerning accusations about Combs started to come out. In February, Rodney Jones Junior, a music producer on the “Love Album,” sued Combs for nonconsensual sexual conduct and for hiring prostitutes to commit sexual acts.
In May of 2024, a disturbing video of Combs beating his ex-girlfriend in the hallway of a Los Angeles Hotel in 2016 was leaked to the public and is now resurfacing on the internet. Model Crystal McKinney filed another suit in May of 2024, accusing Combs of rape. Additionally, in Sept. of 2024, girl band star Dawn Richard filed a suit alleging that Combs sexually assaulted her many different times.
Finally, in Sept. of 2024, Combs was arrested after a grand jury indictment. The indictment also revealed that Combs was involved in kidnapping, bribery, and other crimes. If the star is convicted, he could face up to 15 years to life in prison. Combs’ bail has been denied as well.
Recently, seven more sexual abuse allegations have been filed against Combs, including a claim that Combs, along with two unnamed celebrities, raped and drugged a 13-year-old girl. Combs has yet to respond to this claim.
Combs will also be detained during the trial. Although there are many other accusations against Combs, these are the most recent ones that led to his arrest. These accusations date back to the 1990s, and Combs’ history of violence and anger has been recognized throughout his life.
