Phil’s Restaurant & Pizzeria: coronavirus edition

The coronavirus continues to have a sizeable effect on the way we live our lives, with local restaurants now being impacted. Local restaurants like Phil’s, Fire & Oak, and Momma’s Kitchen have to be closed at 8:00 pm. An employee at Phil’s Restaurant & Pizzeria located on 4 Chestnut Ridge Rd in Montvale, explained the changes they have made due to the coronavirus.

This employee is Alex Couto, a Pascack Hills senior. He shares what Phil’s is doing during this pandemic.

“Phil’s is taking precautions that include non-contact pick-up and delivery in order to ensure the safety of both our customers and employees. Our efforts in sterilizing surfaces that people could have come in contact with have been improved in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak,” Couto said.

In addition, during this time period, Phil’s is offering specials.

“Phil’s is offering two limited-time specials due to the coronavirus. The first one is two large cheese pizza’s for $20.20 plus tax. The second one is two chicken parm entree’s with a salad or pasta for $20.20 plus tax. They are great deals, so get them while you can,” Couto said.

Couto goes on to explain another limited-time special Phil’s is offering.

“Phil’s is selling pizza kits for $10.00. The pizza kits include pizza dough, sauce, and mozzarella cheese. This is a very fun thing to do with your family,” Couto said.

Currently, the dining rooms and bars are closed at Phil’s. The business is ensuring safety for everyone as they want to go back to treating customers with delicious food as soon as possible.
