    Giving Back This Holiday Season

The popular PHHS club, Project Paterson, recently held its annual toy drive. The tremendous mountain of toys seen in the lobby of the school is indicative of the generosity of the student body during this holiday season.

The donated toys were for children whose ages range from infancy to seventeen years of age in Paterson. Project Paterson, run by Miss Mahaffey and Mrs. Lutz, is affiliated with a public school in Paterson.

Pascack Hills students involved in Project Paterson donate their time to volunteer at the school and work with the children there.

Unfortunately, many families in Paterson struggle to provide toys for their children during the holiday season. The toys collected are to be donated to such families in hopes of making their holidays a little brighter.

Toys donated included everything from board games to Barbie dolls, and are intended for an array of students of all ages and genders.

Though grateful for the tremendous number of toys donated, we did not come close to last year’s record of 450 toys. Therefore, we’ll all have to pitch in a little more next year!
