Whether he’s making a huge three point shot or setting up a teammate, Cole Dorfman has always been a primary contributor to the basketball program. A 3-year starter at point guard, Cole has always been depended on for our team’s success.
What many people can’t see from an outside perspective about Cole is the intangibles he possesses. Being chosen as captain two consecutive years exhibits his outstanding leadership and the upmost respect his teammates have for him.
In addition to winning two State Sectional Championships in arrow, Cole joined the 1000-point club this past season. He also earned 1st team all league honors every year and was selected to the 3rd team all county this past season.
Cole will continue his great career at Lesley College. Speaking of the opportunity, Cole said, “I’m very thankful for the opportunity to be able to play at the next level. I know a lot of players would love to play in college and I’m just thrilled and blessed to be one of the few that will.”
When in need of a huge basket, Jared Shill is always there to get it done. Jared has been making exceptional plays for the last three years for our basketball program and can truly credit it to his impeccable work ethic. He spends endless hours in the weight room and gym to ensure he is as successful as possible.
When asked about his career as a Cowboy, he said, “Hard work has been the key to improving on the basketball court and in the classroom throughout the past four years. I have always strived and pushed myself to reach my full potential and the hard work I have put in has certainly been worth it.”
Jared was chosen as a captain by his teammates this year and set his goals high, but anyone following this season knows that he exceeded even his own expectations.
Jared averaged 23 points per game and was selected to the 1st team all county. In his junior season, he earned 1st team all league honors and was selected to the 2nd team all county.
Jared also joined the 1000-point club this past season and was one of the best scorers in the county. He will continue his impressive career on the next level at Connecticut College.
Taylor Cudequest has had an unbelievable track career at Pascack Hills and has been successful in every event he participates in. His impressive accomplishments speak tremendous volume to the hard work he has put in the past few years.
Taylor was described as the “hardest working kid I have ever seen in my life” by one of his teammates.
Although he thrives in every event, Taylor always is unselfish and willing to do whatever is best for the team during meets.
As the captain and leader, Taylor is one of the most liked and respected members of the whole program. He has had some remarkable accomplishments throughout his career including placing first in the entire country in the pentathlon for winter track, and placing first in the intermediate hurdles in Bergen County Division C.
While he has had a countless number of achievements, the most impressive one came during winter track when he placed 7th in the nation for the pentathlon.
When describing the hard work to get to this point, Taylor said, “Everyone has to work hard in one sport or one event to be successful, but a multi like myself has to work 10 times harder than anyone else to be as good as I can be.”
His determination for greatness will not stop at the Division I level, as Taylor has made it clear that he wants to someday be in the Olympics! He will continue his terrific career at California State University, Northridge.
