    A Girl’s Guide to Valentine’s Day Gifts

It’s that time of the year, once again. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and people worldwide are scrambling to find their ideal valentine. Although the major purpose of this holiday is to celebrate those you admire most, let’s be real; the gifts are a plus. Along with love, stress is in the air as individuals struggle to find the perfect present to purchase for their special someone.

Whether you’re a guy or a girl looking for a gift for your significant other or best friend, these three unique gift ideas will leave any girl all heart- eyed.

    1. Awesome Apparel

Truth be told, most girls love anything you can find right at your local mall. The first gift idea is simple: you can never go wrong with clothing from your special someone’s favorite store. However, be sure to find out what your valentine’s style is like to ensure they will actually wear the gift.

For example if you’re your special someone is a fashionista, visit stores like Urban Outfitters or American Eagle to score the trendiest clothing. On the other hand, if the female you are buying for is on the sportier side, hit up sporting goods stores similar to Sports Authority and Modell’s to find workout gear perfect for your valentine.

    1. Perfectly Pinterest

The next gift idea is called “Do It Yourself,” otherwise known as D.I.Y. These gifts are 100 percent cute and creative and 100 percent NOT store bought. These types of presents are completely handmade, crafty, and come from the heart. Pinterest.com is a prime location to find anything D.I.Y, especially Valentine’s Day Gifts.

With just a quick search of “D.I.Y Valentine’s Day gifts for her,” everything from unique picture frames to a “52 things I love about you” deck of cards appear, with directions on how to exactly mimic these ideas. There is even a link to “49 Valentine’s Gifts in a Jar,” which highlights the hundreds of innovative gift suggestions the D.I.Y world of Pinterest has to offer.

D.I.Y presents are sure to be a hit, as your valentine will know that you put time and effort into making these items yourself. Although some ideas may be a tad cheesy, your valentine will fall in love with whichever Pinterest-inspired concept you choose to re-create.

    1. Exquisite Experiences

The final gift idea isn’t based off of materialistic value; however it is all about the experience.  Take your female valentine on a date, but not just the classic dinner-date at a fancy restaurant. Go ice-skating, go on a hike on the local grounds of the Ramapo Mountain Reservation, or even go on a cute picnic.

The unique date idea possibilities are endless, and your special someone will admire all of the planning you went through to create a Valentine’s Day to remember. Adventure is always out there.

If you are looking to celebrate with a few of your best gals, plan a day roaming New York City or initiate a classic movie night, guaranteed to be filled with countless laughs and memories with your pals. Sometimes, a solid “Galentine’s Day” is the best way to spend this holiday of love.

With these three gift ideas in action, your valentine will want Valentine’s Day everyday. For those without a valentine, however, always remember: there is absolutely no shame in celebrating this holiday solo and staying home to binge-watch Netflix all day. Besides, dates are (for the most part) totally overrated, anyways. Just kidding. Kind of.
