On December 8, 2011 Pascack Hills hosted a blood drive. The blood drive allows students from the ages of 16 and older to donate blood to help those in need of this essential “gift,” during the holiday session.
Pascack Hills had a good turn out this year, with 48 people signing up to donate blood. By the end of the day, 41 pints of blood were donated from the Hills community to the Bergen Community Regional Blood Center.
Pascack Hills annually holds two blood drives, one in December and one in April, allowing Hills students to have more than one opportunity to donate such a significant substance.
The school has a long history of helping the community; it has been hosting blood drives since the late 1970s.
Since 1995, Mr. Buccino has been responsible for planning these blood drives at Pascack Hills.
If you are able to donate blood, please do so, especially because there is no greater gift.
