More specifically, various food franchises have designated a day for their most popular products, in which they give out whichever food they are honoring, for free. Yes, you heard right, free.
There are so many of these “free food holidays” coming up in 2016 that it may seem like a foreign language to you, but don’t worry, you’re covered. Here are some of the days you can score major freebees at your favorite food locations. And P.S., what’s better than free eats?
If you are in the mood for sweet treats, Rita’s Italian Ice is celebrating the first day of spring by handing out free cups of their famous water ice. Be sure to hit up the nearest Rita’s storefront, either in Glen Rock or Mahwah, on March 20th to get a refreshing start to the oncoming season.
For some, April 15th is the most stressful day of the year: Tax Day. So, who wouldn’t want something for free after nearly breaking the bank? Well, companies like Cinnabon, Arby’s, and AMC Theatres are sure to calm your anxiety with Cinnabon Bites, curly fries, and small popcorns, each not costing a cent.
It is also rumored that everyone’s favorite, Ben & Jerry’s, gives out one-scoop cones on Free Cone Day, which almost always occurs in April. Although it is not yet announced, keep checking Facebook, Instagram, or other social media sites to make sure you don’t miss out on this “legend-dairy” free food holiday.
National Donut Day falls on June 3rd of this year, and this major pastry is given out at both Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme stores. Krispy Kreme is a key player of National Donut Day, handing out their iconic donuts completely for free, however you must buy a drink first to gain access to your free donut at Dunkin. But either way, a free donut is a free donut.
Finally, on July 11th, 7-Eleven has their annual free Slurpee Day, to honor the date itself, 7/11. On the 11th day of the 7th month, be sure to receive your free Slurpee to ensure you quench your thirst and beat the July heat.
