Singer and songwriter Taylor Swift is breaking box office and tour records all within the same time frame. Swift’s new hit movie, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Movie,” which was released on Oct. 13, earned $92.8 million in domestic theaters during the three-day debut weekend, making it the highest-grossing concert film ever.

This technical masterpiece takes you through the whole concert as if you are actually there! Swifties all over the world had a great time seeing this movie. Those who did not get the chance to see it in real life got to experience the concert in the theater.

The film’s duration is 2 hours and 49 minutes. The film will be in theaters exclusively from Thursday through Sunday because Swift said that she wanted to have a packed theater with many different fans inside, similar to a concert enviornment.

“[Although I did not see the movie yet], my favorite part was the 1989 set because it was so much fun to watch and it is my favorite album,” said sophomore Ryan Zoelle, who attended the Eras tour this year.

For many fans who did not get to see the concert, the movie felt just like seeing it in real-time. It was like a second chance for the Swifties who were unable to get tickets to truly experience the show!

Swift’s “Taylor Swift: The Eras Movie” is the sixth biggest opening this year, coming just behind films like  “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Barbie” and ahead of “The Little Mermaid.” Some Swift fans were discouraged when tickets started selling out rapidly, however, it showed that she has a huge impact on the world and that this movie is tremendously boosting the film economy.

The sales of the film do not seem to be stopping. The film has already gone up to $128 million, meaning that there is no way it will stop from here.

Clearly Swift knows how to put on a show, and the sales for this film and her tour show just that.

You should talk about how she negotiated with theaters directly instead of major studios…it’s so cool!
