Girls basketball: The Broncos had a tough loss Tuesday 2/3 against Mahwah 40-52. Junior Emily Driver keeps up her consistent performances across games, scoring the most amount of points for the team again, with 11 points. Driver drained 3 three pointers, which is how she mostly scores her points throughout all games. The Broncos next game was Thursday 2/5 against Indian Hills. The Broncos one with an amazing team effort, winning 52-46. Sophomore Olivia Juliano was the Broncos highest scorer with 13 points.
Boys basketball: The boys basketball team lost to Mahwah on Tuesday 2/3 49-62. Junior Jonah Bibi keeps up his outstanding performance throughout the season, providing a huge 27 points for the team. Hills turned their week around with a win against Indian Hills on Thursday 2/5. Junior Jonah Bibi stayed strong throughout the week scoring another 29 points for the Broncos.
Wrestling: Hills wrestling lost in another nail biter matchup against Emerson Boro on Wednesday 2/4. They lost by one point, 39-40. Junior Adham Elsewisy stood out, pinning his opponent in 31 seconds, earning 6 points closing the 13 point gap. The Broncos are heading toward the end of their season, with only 3 regular season games left.
Swimming: Girls Swimming won in their county quarter finals meet against Livingston on Thursday 2/5. Junior Maizie Catanzaro placed first in two of her events, the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. The girls will move on to the semi finals and face Passaic Tech on 2/9.
