There are so many great ways to get involved, whether you are looking for a quick craft or a detailed project! It can be difficult to find the time to go shopping for decorations, let alone spend the money on them, so here are some fun and inexpensive DIY crafts you can make to add some Halloween fun to your home!
Bloody Candles:
This spooky craft can be done with just a lighter, a long white candlestick, and a red candlestick. Melt the red candle onto the top and edges of the longer white candle forming blood-looking droplets along the candle! The end result should look something like this:

Another crafty idea good for decorating the outside of your house, your rooms ceilings, bushes, or any other fitting areas are cute mini ghosts. This craft can be made with large or small white cheeseclothes, a glue mixture, any glass jar or cup, black paper, and a bit of string. A simple tutorial for this:

Carved and Painted Pumpkins:
An all time favorite halloween activity is the classic carving and painting of pumpkins! This classic of pumpkin carving activity can be made even simpler with the substitution of painting instead of all the complicated tools and carving patterns. All you need for this craft is some paint, or markers, any pumpkin, and a brush. There are so many ways to get creative with this weather painting your pumpkin to look like another food, painting the gourds on the pumpkin to be little bugs, or painting your pumpkin to be a spooky cauldron. Jar Mummies:
One last spooky decoration idea is by far the simplest on the list, best for anybody who wants a quick way to brighten their home! For this craft all you will need is any shaped glass jar, gauze or toilet paper, a pair of googly eyes, and any mini insertable light. Such as battery powered fairy lights or a battery powered candle. There are three simple steps for this:
– Wrap your gauze or toilet paper around your jar optionally leaving a small crack clear around the center of the jar.
– Paste your googly eyes onto the jar along with any facial expression you like.
– Lastly, insert your light into the jar and close the lid of the jar.
