On March 27, 2026, the Pascack Hills Student Government Association (SGA) held its annual spring pep rally to bring the school together and raise spirits the day before spring break.
Pascack Hills annually holds three pep rallies throughout the year: the fall, winter and spring pep rallies. On March 27, 2026, the last pep rally took place, uniting Pascack Hills students and staff to raise spirits and have fun before the initiation of spring break.

Prior to the pep rally, the continuous week, many students followed a spirit week dress code to exemplify school spirit. These spirit week themes consisted of pajama day, beach day, country vs. country club day, jersey day, and white-out day for the day of the pep rally.
This pep rally consisted of activities such as a pizza box knockout contest, a human pyramid, a teacher vs. student basketball game, and ultimately a game of musical chairs. A variety of students from all grades and teachers participated, entertaining the supporting crowd as everyone prepared for the spring break.
The pep rally was initiated by introducing all the spring sports varsity teams. These teams included: softball, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, unified track, golf, and boys’ tennis. Each varsity team had the opportunity to choose their entrance song while walking out to raise the spirits of the upcoming Pascack Hills sports season. These entrances ultimately served as a way to spotlight the school’s hardworking committed athletes.
The first activity done was the pizza box knock-out challenge. This challenge required students in a certain periphery of space to attempt to knock out other contestant pizza boxes off their hand while balancing their own on one hand. The challenge became very intense and entertaining as the number of contestants waned after pizza boxes were knocked down and the given area shrank. Ultimately, the winner ended up being sophomore Hridik Reddy who was able to successfully balance his pizza box without it getting knocked down till the very end.

The next event was the human pyramid; students from all four grades formed teams and competed together in this challenge. The objective of this challenge was to run to the middle of the basketball court one at a time (in a group of six), stack a cup one at a time, run back and get in your position for the human pyramid. Every team was zooming back and forth and the competition became close. Nearing the end of the competition, freshman Dylan Slater struggled with stacking the final cup on the cup pyramid but was successful and miraculously ran and jumped straight to the top of his pyramid in a matter of seconds, claiming a win for the freshman team.
Halfway through, the third event took place which was the student vs. teacher basketball game. In this event, Hills alumni played a basketball game against the staff along with the unified participants. The game was a compilation of emotions such as shock, excitement, pity, and interest. The first match was won by the staff beating the students. The second match was won by the unified participants. This event in general was a wholesome way to bring the Hills students to experience events (that are typically consistent in their everyday lives) and share them with the very staff educating and supporting them.
Last of all, the musical chairs match was held, containing students from various grades to compete. This event required participants to circle around a group of chairs as the music played until the music stopped–where they would have to quickly dominate a seat to ensure their participation in the next round. Every round, there would be one less chair than the amount of participants, eliminating one per round. Around 10 or more students participated to create an electric and tense environment as they circled around the chair, taking elimination with smiles and encouraging continuing participants.
Overall, this memorable pep rally left students in an excited mood to start their spring break–anticipating the return of pep rallies and other activities in next year’s fall semester.
